The Maskfall Tale is a unique narrative exploration game created during a 7-day Global Game Jam event. The game explores identity and transformation through visual storytelling, symbolism, and intuitive gameplay mechanics. The project was released on Itch.io after the jam and showcases collaborative rapid development.
For The Maskfall Tale, I was responsible for designing the main character, Murphy, developing the character from early sketches to the final in-game sprite and menu artwork. I focused on creating a visual style that matched the game’s theme, including the mask design, color palette, and overall character identity. I also adapted the design into a pixel-style version for gameplay while maintaining visual consistency with the illustrated artwork.


In addition, I designed the main menu interface, ensuring the layout was clear, readable, and visually aligned with the game’s atmosphere. I collaborated with the development team to integrate the UI into the game while maintaining a smooth and intuitive user experience.
