Introduction

Mad Symphony is an infinite runner game that places a strong emphasis on music. It is a project that has been developed by a small team to expand the company's portfolio of projects.

In this game, we control a treble clef called "Clefy," who can be seen without interruption as he navigates various obstacles and captures notes. This gameplay is similar to Google Dinosaur, but with the addition of parkour elements.

Gameplay

The goal of this game is to survive while running continuously, navigating through various obstacles, including some that may cause injury. As you progress, you may collect musical notes as a score.

As your speed increases, your "heart of life" fills up, allowing you another opportunity to continue playing in the event of injury. In addition to the risks involved, any cessation or reduction in speed will negate the advantage gained.

Development

Built using Unity and guided by foundational concepts from a Udemy course. Significantly adapted the base framework to create an infinite runner with a unique art style, custom-made backgrounds, and new obstacles. Additional gameplay variations and pacing adjustments were implemented to enhance replayability.

The objective of this project was to enhance our visibility as a game studio and expand our expertise, while also increasing the depth and breadth of our portfolio. As previously stated, this initial project was completed by a small team of just four people, myself included. My role involved programming the levels and designing the structure of the game.
